Grace upon Grace – We throw away trash and we get back music
Grace upon Grace – We throw away trash and we get back music
How is it possible that we are sometimes so prejudiced that we “throw” away people? That is not meant literally, but we have such a narrow way of looking at who and what successful people are, that we often brush everyone else off. We ignore and sometimes outright discriminate against the poor and underprivileged.
Every life’s journey is worthwhile examining though. Please take the time to watch this video (click to watch the video) about young kids in Paraguay that have built instruments out of trash. Be transformed by their love for music. Its only the three minute teaser that is totally worth watching.
They and their parents make a living off of the trash that other people throw away. Think about what kind of status they have in their society. How about ours? They would get ignored and wouldn’t get a second look on the street. Now compare that to the beautiful music they have practiced so hard for.
See how the music brought them together. It inspired them. It gave them hope. It gives us pleasure and also hope. It’s Grace upon Grace. Everything started with trash. Irony?
What and how much can you do? How much of a difference can you make in someone’s life with all the rich resources you have? Stay happy my friends and have fun pondering this one.
